You must have a large portion of self -confidence to voluntarily step up with a viewing figure gun such as RTL Boulevard, only because you want to become even more successful on TV. Yet Marieke Elsinga did exactly that: three years ago she left abruptly, determined to become the new Chantal Janzen and to present large shows.
Image damage
Marieke actually did that, although it was accompanied by a good portion of image damage. And she also pulled people in that: that image of a shuffling Irene Moors ramming on a shuffle can allows everyone to be in the retina. Everything is music was taken off the tube early, The Headliner is flopped and The Jump is not a TV pearl either.
How is it possible that Marieke did quite well at Boulevard, but then dropped through the ice? Victor Vlam recently explained it. “It feels like she’s acting the role of quizmaster. It is not credible and that is why it doesn’t look very strong. (…) I think she can be very spontaneous,” said the TV critic.

And that being spontaneous, Marieke will soon be able to do again at RTL Boulevard, because the presenter is officially back. Luuk Ikink, the chief of the show section, tells her return Radio 538. According to him, she will mainly be used for the new late edition.
“We are going to make double boulevard broadcasts from July 14. Very nice. At 10 p.m. or 10.15 p.m. there will be another episode and it is completely new. We first talk about B&B full of love, which is before and then we just make a new broadcast, so it’s not just talking. We really look forward to it.”
Few weeks
The current team cannot do that alone, says Luuk. “Marieke Elsinga comes back a few weeks to strengthen us. She has also done boulevard for years and we really needed some reinforcement. He comes to help us out.”
Many faces will therefore take care of two broadcasts, but, says Luuk: “We are also working on some new people with the experts.”

Luuk himself will also give an appearance. “I’m going to do it for a few weeks. It’s nice if RTL asks and I just like to do that. There are really new topics and we try to repeat as little as possible. We often have that the broadcast is too full and that we have to make a choice. Now we have more space.”
Marieke says she was delighted. The Qmusic DJ will finally be shown on TV in a success formula. “Fancy !! Nice with my familiar club,” she says.
