Jennifer Lopez Has the American Music Awards Opened yesterday by celebrating the biggest songs of the year – and smooching with several of her dancers. (Yes, really.) On Monday evening, the moderator of the show opened the award ceremony with a dance medley, which included a hot kiss with several of her background dancers.
From the multiverse to the musician icon
The 2025 AMAs began with a close -up of Jennifer Lopez, which sang a slow version of their hits “Dance Again” from 2012. Before assembly gave a foretaste of the show and the spectators kidnapped in a “multiverse” full of love, sex and good music.

Lopez performed a dance medley of 23 hits in her six -minute intro. Flew to Kendrick Lamar’s “Squabble Up” and Doechii’s “Denial is a River” before showing their moves to “A Bar Song” by Shaboozey and Bruno Mars and Rosé’s “Apt”. And imitated the Tikokt dance to the hit.
Then Lopez danced to a Mashup from Chappell Roans “Hot to Go” and “Good Luck, Babe”. And fleed out air during Roan’s text. She channed Billie and Beyoncé for “Birds of a Feather” and “Texas Hold’em” before the performance with a dance break in the style of “Dancing with the Stars” with numerous somersaults with Bad Bunny’s “Nuevayol”.
The farewell began when she danced to Teddy Swim’s “Lose Control”. And with Tinashe’s ‘Nasty’ reminded us that she was a bad girl. Lopez ended her futuristic appearance with a Mashup from Lamar’s “Not Like Us” and “TV Off” in honor of the rapper who received the most nominations that evening.

“I had to start the show with the biggest songs of the year and dance for all of you from my heart. But this evening the spotlight belongs to you. Because this is the world’s largest award ceremony, at which the winners determine her,” she said after her appearance. “And this year there were more voices than ever.”
Lopez last moderated the show in 2015. And raised the pop performance with new outfits at each of her appearances at a new level. She also presented a seven -minute dance medley with the biggest hits of the year. These include songs such as “7/11” by Beyoncé, “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran, “Trap Queen” by Fetty Wap and many more.

Before the ceremony, Lopez announced that they have a Nose injury had moved. As a moderator, Lopez was there all evening, including with appearances by Benson Boone, Reneé Rapp, Lainey Wilson, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Gloria Estefan. The Icon Award winner Janet Jackson was also on stage and had been on her first live appearance on television for seven years.
