The Austrian fiber manufacturer Lenzing AG will be releasing a four -member board again in the future. On Monday, the group announced the appointment of Georg Kasperkovitz as Chief Operations Officer (COO).

The 58-year-old will take up his new post on June 1st and then form the management quartet of the group with CEO Rohit Aggarwal, CFO Nico Reiner and Christian Skilich (Chief Pulp and Chief Technology Officer), said Lenzing. In the past few weeks, the board had only consisted of three members after Chief Transformation Officer Walter Bickel.

In his future role, according to the company, Kasperkovitz should “lead the company-wide fiber production locations and to promote the already ongoing performance program and thus operational cost excellence and the transformation of the entire company”. He will also lead and develop the location in Lenzing.

According to its future employer, the designated COO “brings more than 15 years of experience in different management functions in Europe, North America and Asia”. Among other things, Kasperkovitz held various management positions at the international packaging and paper manufacturer Mondi PLC and the freight transport company Rail Cargo Austria AG during his career.
