Rijkswaterstaat will carry out maintenance work on the A59 motorway. This partly closes the road both Monday to Monday night and from Tuesday evening to Tuesday night.
It concerns regular maintenance that weighing, viaducts, bridges, tunnels and the immediate vicinity need in its time. This includes replacing or cleaning asphalt, replacing joint transitions, mowing and pruning work and maintenance of the crash barrier. According to Rijkswaterstaat, this is all necessary to offer the road user a smooth and safe flow.
That is accompanied by closures and extra travel time. This Monday evening the A59 between the Sabina junction and the Noordhoek junction is close in the direction of Roosendaal/Dordrecht. The blockage lasts until five o’clock Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday evening, the A59 is closed from nine o’clock between the Noordhoek nodes and Sabina in the direction of Bergen op Zoom/Rotterdam. Rijkswaterstaat wants the job to have done on Wednesday morning at five o’clock.
Yellow signs provide information about the work and traffic measures, such as diversions and adapted speed.
Road users are not only asked to take this into account: the safety of the people working on the road should not be forgotten
