GEnova, May 26. (askanews) – «I dedicate the victory to my father. He would have told me he’s proud of me ». This was stated by the new mayor of Genoa Silvia Salis, candidate of the center -left, who moved during the press conference convened after the victory in the municipal elections, remembering the father who died a few days before the start of the election campaign.
Regarding the victory, “I feel happy, satisfied – he said – and above all proud of the race we did because as a style and responsibility towards citizenship it was an election campaign really made as I expected”.
“I had asked all of us and myself – said Salis – to never go down to certain levels and I am proud that we succeeded. We did it for Genoa and also because politics must learn to use a better language and must be a positive example and not a bitter and negative example of personal attacks ».
