Luuk Ikink will not soon forget the TV season 2015/2016. The presenter had just become the father of his first child, but of course it was just expected at work. He was then still the sidekick of Humberto Tan in RTL Late Night, where it was his role to announce funny films. The day after the birth he was there again.
Two days
How was that like? Luuk tells it at the table Humberto on Sunday. “In fact, my intention was to get back to work after two days, but then I thought: O my God, that is not possible at all.”
He continues: “Then I applied Erland Galjaard, then the boss of RTL, and he said,” Joh, stay away for two weeks, no problem, “but I felt something like that I wanted to make a program again. I tackled that very differently with the other two children.”

Humberto Tan has read the book that Luuk has written about his household with all kinds of children. “Well I read your book and one of the things I read I didn’t know at all, namely that you just stood an evening and that you were just sick at RTL Late Night. Those children.”
Luuk confirms: “Yes, yes, yes, yes, you get stomach flu from children. I didn’t know that, but once you have a child and then you go to a BSO or send it, they pick everything up, because they have had nothing yet. They always get stomach flu and then they will puke everything about you, and that you also pick it up again.”
Stomach
Very often Luuk was in the studio of Humberto with stomach flu. “I all got mysterious stomach flu diseases and I have sometimes stood by Late Night and then it was eight hours. I said to the editor -in -chief:” I don’t pull it. “
He continues: “Then we placed all the blocks forward that I was at the very beginning and then again at the beginning and then I could go home halfway through the broadcast with a taxi. Then there was a bowl next to me and in the advertisement I could spit.”
