It was certainly his biggest game in the VfB Stuttgart jersey: Enzo Millot with his two goals in the DFB Cup final against Arminia Bielefeld last Saturday became one of the big trophy heroes in the Swabians. It could have been the Frenchman’s last appearance in the VfB jersey.
At the latest with his replacement in the 69th minute, the Stuttgart celebrations were initiated on Saturday evening during the final against Arminia Bielefeld.
At the stand of 4: 0 (final score 4: 2), Enzo Millot left the lawn in the Berlin Olympic Stadium, took the time to clap with every VfB player and then to be properly celebrated by the numerous Stuttgart Appendix.
His emotional departure, as one of the protagonists of the cup final, immediately fueled the speculation that it could have been the last game in the VfB Stuttgart jersey for the 22-year-old.
Exit clause in Millots VfB Treaty
Sports board member Fabian Wohlgemuth did not want to know anything about one millotic farewell from the Ländle, who was cited in the “kicker” with consequences with regard to the match winner: “It was an incredible experience, and when a player like Enzo Millot obviously also has emotional features and says goodbye, then I think so is normal.”
Nevertheless, the rumors around the scorp dangerous midfielder should not be less in the coming days and weeks. Enzo Millot is still under contract with the Swabians until 2028, but should be able to leave the club early on the basis of a set exit clause that should range between 18 and 20 million euros.
Millot himself had repeatedly indicated in the past to want to go the next career step in the future. FC Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are said to have targeted millotes in the recent past. To date, nothing has really been concrete.
