VfB Stuttgart beats Arminia Bielefeld in the DFB Cup final

Angelo Stiller led VfB Stuttgart to win the title in the DFB Cup after surviving ligament injury. Last second division Arminia Bielefeld was without chances in the final after two awarded top-class opportunities. The Swabians defeated the underdog from the 3rd division 4: 2 (3: 0). It was the first title win for VfB after the 2007 championship and means the Europa League participation in the coming season. For Bielefeld, a fabulous cup competition ended all in all – without a happy ending.

Stiller, called up by coach Sebastian Hoeneß from the start, was involved in the Swabians’ first three goals: First he used Nick Woltemade, who scored the 1-0 (15th). Before the 2-0, the international initiated the counterattack with a wide ball, which Enzo Millot (22nd) and also 3-0 by Deniz Undav was the 24-year-old the preparer (28th).
