Tanja Ruhnke and the Italian fashion house Valentino are supposed to go separate paths again after a short time.
Ruhnke surprisingly left Valentino for personal reasons, reports the WWD specialist magazine based on sources. She only came to the fashion house as Chief Communication Officer in early April and has been responsible for the global communication strategy since then.
It has extensive experience in the conception and implementation of strategic and creative marketing and communication plans as well as in the production of effective content, it said in Valentino’s announcement from the beginning of April.
She gained this experience with various brands such as Helmut Lang, where she was active as a Director of Global Communication; As a Vice President of Branding and Communication with Alexander Wang and in her first term at Valentino, where she worked for North America from January 2019 to March 2020 as Vice President Communication and Marketing. Most recently, she worked as a marketing manager at Maison Margiela.
It is currently unclear who now takes responsibility for communication.
