National coach Julian Nagelsmann announced his contingent for the final four tournament in the Nations League and appointed two debutants into the contingent. In addition to Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart, whose nomination was announced on Wednesday in the course of the U21 squad, Tom Bishop is also there for the first time. The 19-year-old changes free of charge from TSG Hoffenheim to FC Bayern in the summer.

Back in the DFB contingent after a long time, West Ham striker Niclas Füllkrug, Barcelona keeper Marc-André Ter Stegen, Dortmund’s central defender Waldemar Anton, Italy-Legionary Robin Gosens as well as the Bavaria duo Aleksandar Pavlovic and Serge Gnabry. In order to prevent injuries, on the other hand, Nagelsmann does without Kai Havertz, Jamal Musiala and Antonio Rüdiger.

The DFB selection meets in the semifinals on June 4 (9:00 p.m./ZDF) in Munich on Portugal. Four days later, either the final in Munich (9 p.m.) or the game for third place in Stuttgart (3 p.m.) against Spain or France. “When we reach our top level, we can beat Portugal. This is our goal. But we are not allowed to go a meter less than in the top moments in the quarter-finals against Italy because I see the Portuguese as a very strong team. We will throw everything in to realize the final in Munich,” says Nagelsmann.
