Last week, Bruce Springsteen started his “The Land of Hope & Dreams Tour” in Europe that was eagerly awaited-and is now celebrating the start with a new live EP. The “Land of Hope & Dreams EP” published on Wednesday (May 21, 2025) gathers emotional highlights of the start of the tour in Manchester. The appearance of the “boss” was also emotionally because he criticized US President Trump for his inhuman politics.
In addition to the title-giving song, the EP also contains live versions of “Long Walk Home”, “My City of Ruins” and a cover by Bob Dylans “Chimes of Freedom”. Two personal speeches from Springsteen themselves complete the release.
Tracklist of the EP:
- Land of Hope and Dreams (intro)
- Land of Hope and Dreams (live)
- Long Walk Home (Live)
- My City of Ruins (intro)
- My City of Ruins (live)
- Chimes of Freedom (Live)
“They enjoy sadistic to inflate loyal American workers”
Springsteen commented on Trump on the stage in Manchester. The boss was angry. And Trump reacted to Springsteen’s statements with predictable anger. However, this did not stop Springsteen from commenting on the second evening of the tour again and largely repeating what he had said on the first evening. “In America, the richest men find satisfaction to leave the poorest children in the world to their fate in illness and death,” he said.
“This is happening right now. In my country, they have sadistic joy in the pain they add to loyal American workers. They roll back historical civil rights laws that have led to a fairer society. Let our large allies down and stand on the side of dictators against those who fight for their freedom.
“They remove residents from the streets of America without proper legal proceedings”
That happens right now. They deprive American universities who do not bow to their ideological demands. And they remove residents from the streets of America without proper legal proceedings. And bring them to foreign prisons and prisons. That happens right now. “
