After the second division championship, players and fans of 1. FC Cologne celebrated. Apparently the shell was lost. There is now an all -clear.

But in the middle of the joy of the double success, the master shell was apparently lost.

After the final whistle, the trophy provided by the Deutsche Footbal League (DFL) in advance was initially put up by Mark Uth and Timo Hübers. Then the silver object wandered through numerous hands – and then suddenly disappeared, as the newspaper “Express” writes.

In an interview with the Pay TV broadcaster Sky, trainer Funkel said that the morning afterwards nobody knew the whaluinry of the shell at the Cologne training area. “I don’t know. I asked some people at the Geißbockheim this morning, but nobody knew where the bowl or wheel cap was left,” said the 71-year-old. He was hoping to be able to bring her to show that she was difficult, but he could still lift her. She also did not appear in the “Schrotty” club.

According to Funkel, the shell was no longer seen on Sunday evening after the celebrations in the city center. Funkel smiled that both of them could have taken the joking assumption by moderator Sebastian Hellmann, former FC manager like Gerhard Struber or Christian Keller, that both of them were on site.

“Maybe she took Linton Maina with me, I heard that he liked to make pranks,” he added – but was convinced that the piece was again.

In the meantime, the master shell has actually appeared again. As the “Express” reported on Wednesday, it is now safely kept in a suitcase at the Geißbockheim under the supervision of witness manager Frank Almstedt.
