The iron tubes have been there for a while. “I can’t even open my sun protection because of those things,” a lady shouts from her gallery. “And if you call pre -call, they say they are working on it. Always the same song and you will never hear from them again. In the meantime, they will increase the rent!”
The residents of the flats on Lorentzstraat have had it completely. For years they have been living among the iron poles that have to protect their homes against concrete rot. Last Friday there was another setback: pieces of asbestos lay in the central hall of one of the flats. Coming from a ceiling plate, through which a drill or not accidentally went through.
“They had been working there for three weeks. How long did that stuff have been in the hall?”, Denise wonders. She lives on the third floor of the ‘Pechflat’ and tells her story together with neighbor Naomi.
