Galatasaray makes the title hate trick perfect in Turkey. There is a special moment for a clutor.
The traditional Istanbul club Galatasaray crowned the new and old Turkish champion at an early stage. On the third last day of the Süper Lig, “Gala” made the 25th championship title in its story perfect with a 3-0 against KaySerispor – and thus secured the trophy for the third time in a row.
With the clear victory, the team expanded its lead over the pursuer and arch -rival Fenerbahçe (81) with 89 points now and can no longer be obtained in the league.
A special moment occurred in the 89th minute: goalkeeper Fernando Muslera started at the penalty and converted safely to the final score. The 38-year-old, who has been playing at Galatasaray since 2011, had already met in Istanbul with a penalty in his first season.
Previously, Victor Osimhen (26th) and Barış Yılmaz (29th) had taken care of the Okan Burak, which was made by club legend. For Galatasaray it is the first double of the championship and cup victory since 2019. In the starting eleven, the former Freiburg Roland Sallai was in the course of the game.
