The Nations League final takes place in early June. Germany is included, but an important regular player is missing.
Bad news for national coach Julian Nagelsmann: DFB-Torjäger Tim Kleindienst misses the Nations League final. The striker injured his knee and has to be operated on. A bitter message also for his club Borussia Mönchengladbach. Small service, which achieved 16 Bundesliga goals in the past season, was in top form and had also established himself in the national team.
After the 0: 1 against VfL Wolfsburg, sports managing director Roland Virkus commented on the situation. Accordingly, small service in the game against FC Bayern twisted his knee last week. “The meniscus is involved. He has to undergo an operation in the knee next week, it will be out for several months,” said Virkus. He will probably also miss the training start with Gladbach.
Trainer Gerardo Seoane emphasized: “We all know about Tim’s importance. Now it is important to support him that he will be fit as soon as possible.”
