PAternal Leave
Type: Generational-generative drama
Director: Alissa Jung. With Luca Marinelli, Juli Grabenhenrich, Gaia Rinaldi, Arturo Gabbriellini, Joy Falletti Cardillo
Why do a father refuses a daughter? The question, who had not asked himself from twenty years old, colliding his pregnant friend as “youthful error”, Paolo must return to do it when the fifteen year old Leo (Juli Grabenhenrich, very good) comes from Germany in Romagna winter to ask him to account for his disappearance.
It is the node around which the work first revolves of the actress (and wife of Marinelli, to whom she entrusted the role of Paolo) Alissa Jung. The theme is addressed with a commendable dryness, without looking for easy escape routes or superficial explanations.

Paolo (Luca Marinelli), who in the meantime is building a new relationship of couple and paternity (he has a four -year -old girl), he is forced to deal with a part of himself who had tried to cancel. And that now he cannot explain.
But What is most striking is the honesty with which Jung, also the author of the script, puts the fragility of man bare Forced to deal with their actions, without giving him justifications, but also without wanting to condemn him, in search of a parental idea that Paul must learn to find. As he tries to do, with his anger and naivety, his fifteen -year -old daughter.
For those who want to confront – without prejudice – with the responsibilities of the fathers.
