FC Bayern was also considered a prospect, but Dean Huijsen is drawn to Spain. Real Madrid pays a stately million sum for the defensive player.

Real Madrid continues to upgrade – and digs deep into the pocket. The Spanish record champion commits central defender Dean Huijsen from the Premier League club AFC Bournemouth.

The Spanish international signed a contract until June 30, 2030. The change comes into force on June 1, 2025. Huijsen is already eligible to play at the club World Cup (June 15th to July 13th). Real pays a fixed transfer fee of almost 60 million euros.

The 20-year-old had only moved from Juventus to the island from Juventus last summer. At Bournemouth, he quickly developed into a regular under coach Andoni Iraola. In the current season, the central defender came to 30 missions in the Premier League. Particularly striking: Huijsen presented himself extremely dangerous for a defender, each scored against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and FC Arsenal.

In March he made his debut for the Spanish national team. Huijsen is also nominated for the award as the best young player of the Premier League. At Real, he could in the future be in the central defense alongside DFB star Antonio Rüdiger.

Most recently, FC Bayern had also been associated with a commitment of Huijsen. Now he is moving to Madrid.
