Lindsey Buckingham has recently not only pointed to music videos on his YouTube channel not only music videos, but also reactions from him and his daughter Leelee on the music videos of other artists: inside.
In a new upload you react to “by Dutch” by Charli XCX. Before that, the father-daughter duo had already looked at Buckingham’s own music video for “Slow Dancing” from 1984.
Lindsey Buckingham’s summer was “The Brattiest”
At the beginning of the video, Buckingham admits that he is not very familiar with Charli XCX. His daughter then asks him if he had a fried summer. His answer to this is: “The Brattiest!”
Then start to look at the music video together. Charli runs through an airport, organizes chaos and of course does not stop at the filming cameras. According to Buckingham, however, this is “not a good place to get cheeky”. When the British boxes and spits against the cameras, he reacts with “autsch” and “uhhh”.
Charli XCX can even shoot her music video at the airport
The musician is surprised that the airport allowed her to do all these things there. However, his daughter provides the simple explanation: “Well, she is Charli XCX, she is now huge.”
Buckingham’s conclusion about the music video, which was already awarded a Grammy, sounds positive: “I found it very entertaining. It was so much going on!” Leelee then asks her father what Charli wanted to say with the video, and for him it is certain: “She says: ‘You can do me!'”
Lindsey Buckingham became known primarily as a guitarist and singer of the band Fleetwood Mac. Over time, however, the band members went separate paths and Buckingham started to work on music. His latest album Lindsey Buckingham was released in 2021.
Brat summer was in 2024-and now?
Charli XCX released one of the most successful albums in the summer of 2024. At the Coachella Festival last April, however, she teased on the stage screens that the frying summer could soon be over. In the meantime, the normally completely lime -green cover of the plate on the streaming services has rusty edges, and the lettering is scribbled through. So will there be a new record soon?
On May 14, the 32-year-old thanked her fans on Instagram and announced a music video for the song “Party 4 U”, which was published in 2020.
