The Public Prosecution Service will continue a police officer for his actions during a wedding party in Ruinerwold. The agent was present here last year for a check that got out of hand. The man used a baton and injured several people.
Earlier this year, the Public Prosecution Service (OM) started a criminal investigation due to instructions that the violence of the agent was out of proportion “and therefore probably contrary to the instructions for violence for police officers”.
The wedding party was on the Perenhoeve in Ruinerwold, when two boas came to support two agents a look at the 40-year wedding party of Nico and Ginette Westenbrink. They celebrated their anniversary with around thirty people.
The family did not want to let all BOAs and agents in on the site, but one inspector. The exchange of words then resulted in a confrontation. The daughter of the family broke her arm because she was beaten with a baton by a cop. Nico Westenbrink had to spend a night in a police cell.
The police later apologized for acting in Ruinerwold and said that otherwise should have been taken.
