On June 7 it is a hustle and bustle in the center of Alkmaar, and certainly around the Canadaplein. Not only is there the traditional Saturday market, which reaches up to the adjacent church square, but that day Kaeskoppenstad organized. In addition, there will also be an event with singing in the Grote Kerk.

“The market must of course also be able to open,” says Jeffrey. “And an event with huge amplifiers and boxes next to the Grote Kerk is difficult to get together. That date (7 June, ed.) Ensed that we had to take so many things into account, that the permit could only be given very late.”

For safety reasons, the organization therefore decided in consultation with the municipality that it was better to puncture a different date.

Tickets remain valid

Jeffrey and his co -organizers are very disappointed with the relocation. “It is really crazy, you don’t want this your worst enemy yet. Sometimes it feels like you are organizing three events at the same time: the event on 7 June, the relocation that you have to steer in the right direction and the third is the event on September 6.”

The people who have bought a card so far now have an email from the organization. “The card remains valid. If you can’t go on the new date, you will get your money back.”

André Hazes Jr. is missing on a new date

Due to the relocation to September, one of the headliners also falls away: André Hazes Jr. is then occupied. But the organization is busy arranging new crowd pullers, such as an ABBA tribute band.

“I can’t say which one, because the contract is not yet complete. We also know that that is not a worthy replacement for Hazes, but in the background we are working hard.” The rest of the line-up, including Alain Clark, will remain standing. The presenter expects to be able to announce more about expanding the line-up quickly.
