Arjen Lubach has had a historically poorly watched broadcast and that is due to a double blunder, says TV authority Tina Nijkamp. “This is really a very low figure,” she says.
It is not easy to score well compared to the Eurovision Song Contest, and certainly not if the Netherlands is represented therein. The most viewed alternative to the first semifinal with Claude last night? It is no surprise: the ever -scoring today inside, this time with a score of 868 thousand viewers.
“Very low!”
Who was most disappointing? Arjen Lubach, which is broadcast almost simultaneously with VI, but scored dredger. “Well, but 340 thousand viewers! What a big difference! And also very bad in the 25-54 year target group: 5.9 percent. Very low,” Tina Nijkamp shouts in her podcast Tina’s TV UPDATE.
“Really a low record of course for Lubach at RTL 4, but also the lowest score for Lubach himself since 2 September 2016. I have checked that for a moment, but he did not score so low since then. He did Sunday with Lubach. That has been a long time ago and since then he only scored better, so Lubach and the Songfestival is not a good match.”
Double blunder
According to Tina, Arjen has committed a double blunder. First of all, it is not smart that Arjen came to the song festival with a whole Songfestival special, she says. “What a terrible blunder to do a Songfestival Special at the beginning. ZAP! Who came up with and approved it?”
Secondly, it is extremely stupid that Arjen planned his first free week last week and not this week, according to the TV authority. “On Thursday, he will have relatively quite a lot of problems with the second semifinal and that immediately raises the question: why didn’t Lubach go on holiday this week instead of last week?”
A lot of money
There was of course no song festival last week. “And now it is. Now he is bothered by two of the four times. This time disastrous and on Thursday again. In retrospect, I really think a wrong choice. A wrong week chosen to go on vacation and that of course costs a lot of money.”
