Surprising turn? Wirtz flew to Manchester

Does Pep come before Bayern? Florian Wirtz is said to have traveled to Manchester on Tuesday at short notice. City apparently switches itself into the transfer poker.
An unusual visit ensures new speculation about Florian Wirtz: On Tuesday evening, the Leverkusen international and his parents should have landed at Maastricht-Aachen Airport-after a secret short trip to coach Pep Guardiola in Manchester. The “Bild” newspaper reports.
Accordingly, the family started at 10 a.m. with a Jet Type Embraer Legacy 550 towards the UK. The first destination was the seaside resort of Blackpool and from there it went on to Manchester, which is around 70 minutes away. About nine hours later, the family came back with the same jet.
The trip is deliberately kept discreet, which is why the Removing Airport Maastricht-Aachen was chosen as the return airport. The family’s car was also parked there, as the “picture” writes.
The meeting with the city trainer awakens desires: is Wirtz on the way to the Premier League? The midfielder is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2027. FC Bayern has so far been a favorite for an obligation – either this summer or 2026. In Munich, one continues to be confident of getting the desired player for around 100 million euros, the report mentioned.
But from England there is now movement: Manchester City has presented a specific offer according to the “Sport Bild” – Wirtz ‘Club Bayer Leverkusen (you can read more about this here). This comes close to the prices of the Rhinelander. The club calls for around 150 million euros and prefer a change abroad.
The fact that Wirtz uses his day off for a visit to Manchester shows that the family apparently takes the offer from England seriously. City is looking for a successor to Kevin de Bruyne who will leave the club. Pep Guardiola seems to see the ideal candidate in Florian Wirtz.
The trip will not be unnoticed in Munich either. It is likely to heat the debate about a possible change of the Leverkusener.
