Bayer Leverkusen’s managing director Fernando Carro has rejected reports on an agreement between Florian Wirtz with FC Bayern Munich. “I know it is not true and it annoys you when you read messages that do not correspond to the truth,” said Carro RTL/NTV. Bayer has a trusting relationship with Wirtz and with his parents. “Of course Florian has to think about his future, but at least we are not aware of – and I can assume that it is right – that something has decided for him,” said Carro.

The “picture” had reported that the 22-year-old had already agreed with FC Bayern Munich. The Munichers want to offer 100 million euros in a transfer fee this summer. If that is not enough, Wirtz, whose contract in Leverkusen will still run until 2027, would wait until 2026. The Bayer Group is said to have gave Leverkusen’s managing director Carro’s green light for a Wirtz transfer. A prerequisite is that an association pays 150 million euros for Wirtz.
“Bayern Munich can make an offer at any time and then we have to deal with it, but at the moment we have no offer, from no club,” said Carro now. The “Sport Bild” had previously reported that the top English club Manchester City around coach Pep Guardiola had also entered the poker and had presented an official offer. According to the report, Guardiola has already spoken to Wirtz several times, which in turn was said to have been talks in England on Tuesday.
