The German national ice hockey team also won their third game at the ice hockey World Cup in Sweden and Denmark. After the successes against Hungary (6: 1) and Kazakhstan (4: 1), this time Norway clearly had it. The team of Coach Harold Kreis won 5: 2 (2: 1.2: 0.1: 1) in the multi -purpose hall in Herning in the Middle -S by Herning. There, a large hole in the ice always caused interruptions.

Thanks to two goals from Yasin Ehliz (5th) and Marc Michaelis (17th), the DEB selection took the lead early, and Andreas Martinsen (20th) shortened before the end of the first third. After that, Wojciech Stachowiak (25th) and Joshua Samanski (27th) increased for the German team. The second goal of the Norwegians through Jacob Berglund (48th) was late, Frederik Tiffels set the final point for 5: 2 (60th) seconds before the final siren.

In the game against the Scandinavians, NHL star Tim Stützle’s first appearance was noticeable in the first third. The Ottawa Senator striker kept his trowel in a shot by Marc Michaelis in the fifth minute. Norway’s goalie parried, but Yasin Ehliz was on hand on the rebound and scored 1-0 early.

Norway with great hardness

The Scandinavians reacted to German leadership with increasing hardness. Moritz Seider in particular from the Detroit Red Wings was repeatedly checked hard into the gang. But the team of national coach Harold Kreis reacted with playful strength and also kept physically against it.

Josh Samanski flew off the ice for two minutes for legs, and Germany was outnumbered. But the Deb team Norway chased the puck in its own zone. Fabio Wagner fit perfectly on Ehliz, who could be carried to the left side and pulled two opponents on himself. But his passport went through the opponents and found Michaelis in the middle, who held the stick in and placed 2-0.

Curious: early third break

The game had to be interrupted 3 min. 27 seconds before the end of the third: the ice in the hall in Herning in Danish did not stand the sharp runner of the players. During a normal braking movement of a Norwegian player, a large piece broke out of the ice surface. The referees then decided to prefer the third break.

The Austrian ice champions specially committed for the World Cup did their best. However, the specialists had already expressed themselves dissatisfied with the ice ratios before the paretia and criticized the cooling capacity of the refrigeration system in the multi -purpose hall. Supports commented on Magenta TV: “I’ve never seen anything like it”.

Norway succeeds Connecting goal

Shortly before the end of the third, Seider had to go to the penalty bench – and this time the Norwegians used their majority: Martinsen aimed precisely and shot the puck over the left shoulder of Germany’s goalkeeper Philipp Grubauer (20th).

The goal inspires the Scandinavian – and the German national team was lucky when Johannes Johannessen hit the post.

Deb team reacts perfectly

Germany’s reaction to the connection goal was perfect. After Michaelis had shot the goalie of the Norwegians and the Puck had not exceeded the goal line, Stachowiak and above all Dominik Kahun shone: Kahun stumbled behind the Norwegian gate with one hand, passed on Stachowiak, which had only been solved by a tackled situation in the gang and the ball with the highest pre -post in the goal accommodated.

Josh Samanski increased just as precisely from a distance – and then the ice cream had to be repaired again. But the good news was: it lasted until the end of the game. But not the result.

Norway presses

In the final third, the Norwegians then made a lot of steam. And Grubauer, had to show what he can: First parried the Seattle Kraken goalie in the NHL against Jacob Berglund and Michael Brandsegg-Nygård. But then it hit the German goalkeeper: First Håvard Salsten failed, but then followed Berglund and scored 2: 4.

Stützle showed his class nine minutes before the end when he shot his hand with the backhand, and Noah Steen saved the puck for his keeper by hand.
