A man tied himself to a goalpost with a zip tie around his neck during the second half, but how he managed to do it so quickly was initially unclear. He was wearing an orange T-shirt that said “Just Stop Oil”a campaign group working to stop fossil fuel exploration in the UK.
Folders and rescue workers broke the connection with bolt cutters before the man could be carried off the field. After an almost ten-minute break, the game continued at Liverpool’s Goodison Park with a score of 0-0.
