The opponent Bristol is located in the lower midfield with a squad value of EUR 46.3 million and was considered outsider anyway. It would be the third climb for Sheffield since 2019, which ended his last two seasons in the Premier League in 20th place.
The championship playoffs are not only of great relevance in English football at a sporting level, but also have an immense financial importance. The examination and consulting company “Deloitte” expects a promoted with additional income from TV funds and sponsorship contracts of 155 million to 305 million euros- depending on whether it holds the class in the season after the promotion. It is the admission ticket to another economic world. For Sheffield, Sunderland, Coventry and Bristol, the upcoming playoff games are groundbreaking for their own medium to long-term development.
