According to Franke van der Laan from the Meergroen Foundation, the Totempaal is more than just a striking work of art. “The wishes that come from companies, from volunteers, but also from students. Because everyone ultimately benefits from a future in which we live together with nature.”
The Lincolnpark residential area, which still has to be built largely, must become as green as possible – and residents must actively contribute to this. The neighborhood garden plays a central role in this, says Van der Laan.
“Because the neighborhood garden is already completely up and running If the new residents come, we can take them in tow. Hopefully that is such a great success that we can also set up such a garden in other neighborhoods, “says Franke.
