Ex-Bayern star fired after only nine months

In Argentina, Martín Demichelis celebrated some titles as a trainer. In Mexico he did not succeed in what he was doing.
Martín Demichelis has to go back to Mexican first division team CF Monterrey as head coach after only nine months. This was announced by the club of the former Bayern star.
The reason for the end were the sporting results. In Mexico, unlike in Germany, the halves of the season are not divided into the first and second half of the same season, but in two independent leagues, in which the master is finally decided in playoffs: the Liga MX Apertura (first round) and the Liga MX Clausura (second half of the season). Demichelis had taken over Monterrey after the start of the season in August and led the club to the final in the Apertura.
However, the Clausura was disappointing in view of the club ambitions. Monterrey already left the quarter -finals. Demichelis therefore had to go.
In total, the 44-year-old was on the sidelines for 43 competitive games. He reached 20 wins, and there were eleven draws and twelve defeats.
In summer, the club World Cup still stands for Monterrey, but without the Argentine. The search for the next station continues for Demichelis. His name is still under discussion in Germany.
Especially at Bayer Leverkusen, the Argentinian, who played for FC Bayern from 2003 to 2010, was recently mentioned as a potential coaching candidate. However, CESC Fàbregas from the Italian second division Como 1907 is currently considered a favorite for a possible successor to Xabi Alonso.
