Now Harry Kane has officially broken his title curse. After FC Bayern’s home win on Saturday evening against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the 31-year-old was finally able to get the first trophy up in his career: the German championship shell.

After he also enjoyed the title baptism in the form of numerous wheat beer showers through his teammates with pleasure, he said – freshly showered – then in the catacombs of the Munich arena about his emotional state.

“This title doesn’t change me as a player,” said FC Bayern striker after the championship. “I still have the same work ethos and will continue to try to postpone boundaries to see how well I will be and how I can help my team.”

The 31-year-old gave the German championship “a big deal. It took long enough. The fact that I got these trophy in my hands is something special, I will enjoy the next few weeks,” he said: “It feels wonderful, a burden falls off me.”

Accordingly, he kissed the “salad bowl” after the 2-0 Gladbach, to which he had contributed the leadership. How did the bowl taste? “Good,” said Kane, “hard to put into words.”

The subsequent beer shower surprised him a little. It was “colder than expected”, said Kane: “I really frozen out there. And because I stank for beer, my wife left with a distance.”

Kane nevertheless enjoyed the triumph together with his wife and the four children together Ivy Jane (2017), Vivienne Jane (2018), Louis Harry (2020) and Henry Edward (2023). Harry Kane Junior shot his first goals in front of the Bayern fans-and was celebrated just as frenetically by the south curve.

The fact that he was still rewarded after all these years attributed Kane to a special property. “I always worked hard and continued – regardless of the ups and downs of my career. They were sad and hard moments. I had to be resistant to my whole career.” But now he feels “complete,” he said: “To have it now to have these memories – nobody can take that anymore.”

Kane shared this big moment with Eric dier, who also won the first title of his career with Bavaria. It was a very special experience for dier. “It feels better than someone has ever described it,” said the 31 -year -old professional, just like Kane. The two have been spent for nine years in London for nine years since Dier’s change in 2014. For a year and a half, both have been wearing the FC Bayern jersey – and experienced a titled season there last season. The relief is now the greater.

“It is so special to win it together with Harry,” said Dier. “We have been playing together since we were 20, even for the English national team. To do this together was very special, a very special moment for us.”
