PSV won the very exciting top match against Feyenoord 2-3 on Sunday afternoon. In the first half, the people of Eindhoven were overflowing and they were lucky that it was only 2-0. After the break, PSV was supreme and it came back to 2-2. In the final phase it was waiting for the 2-3 and it eventually fell deep into the extra time due to Noa long. Due to the win, PSV stays in the race for the title together with Ajax. Moreover, the club is assured of second place and therefore a ticket for the Champions League.
Playing in a large stadium, the players of PSV were used to, said trainer Peter Bosz at the press conference last Friday. A full tub, however, caused a unleashed Feyenoord on Sunday afternoon that gave full gas. Igor Paixão soon gave the first warning, but his shot was a prey for PSV goalkeeper Walter Benitez. Shortly thereafter it was hit when the Brazilian was the only one alert to respond to a long ball from his own keeper Timon Wellenreuther. Paixão completed: 1-0.

PSV was completely upset and was overflowed by the home team. In the tenth minute it was already 2-0 when right back Givairo Read got all the space and Benitez beat with a shot in the far corner.

The storm of Feyenoord did not lie down and through Anis Hadj Moussa it was almost 3-0. The wing attacker won the game of Mauro Júnior, but then waited too long to persuade the tractor. A few minutes later, PSV escaped a third counter goal, because Paixão’s free kick just went wide.
Early switch
Only after more than twenty minutes PSV showed himself dangerous for the first time. The invisible Malik Tillman until then got some room to get out, but his shot was not hard enough. A few more Eindhoven danger followed, without big opportunities by the way. The most striking moment took place in the 26th minute when Bosz already applied his first switch. Ledezma did not get a grip on Paixão and was replaced by Sergiño Dest.
Strong PSV
In the first minutes of the second half, the spectators again saw an attacking Feyenoord. There were also some chances, but the ball went on the other side in the 50th minute. Ivan Perisic, anyone else in the last few weeks, got the ball at his feet and extracted hard: 2-1. It was then waiting for the 2-2. Luuk de Jong was close by and then Perisic left two chances.

About twenty minutes before time, the reward for the attacking PSV followed. Calculated Noa Lang, who was called out the entire match because of his Ajax past, came in from the left and extracted effectively: 2-2. Despite a rain of thrown cups from the audience, referee Danny Makkelie decided not to stop the game.
In the final phase it became clear that PSV did not settle for a draw. To stay in the race for the title, the accelerator pedal was pressed even more. In addition, the last minutes had a man more after the direct red card from Read. There were opportunities on the 2-3 and a goal from the guests was rejected on the advice of the VAR due to offside. Deep in the extra time it was hit by long. With this very important goal, PSV stays in the race for the title and it will certainly be the Champions League next season.
The gap with leader Ajax has been reduced to a point. The Amsterdammers will play the home game against NEC later this afternoon. There are two more competition rounds on the program. PSV will play at home against Heracles Almelo next Wednesday evening, on Sunday the 18th they will close the season at Sparta Rotterdam. Ajax will visit FC Groningen on Wednesday and receive the 18th FC Twente.
