Manuel Gonzalez took taste of us. The Spanish of the Intact GP team repeats in France what was done two weeks ago in Jerez: pole and solo victory. This time the world champion leader makes the difference in the final, bending the resistance of an excellent Barry Baltus (Fantic). The third success in six rounds is worth a further extension in the Moto2 world championship: now 16 points are the lead compared to the other Fantic driver, Aron Canet, who arrived third on the finish line of Le Mans. A very strong signal for Gonzalez, who starts doing general tests for a real escape.
Moto2, the race
–
There are 22 laps to face. Moreira takes the command in front of Poleman Gonzalez. Third Dixon, very well left. The pretenders for the title are therefore close, with the exception of Canet, sunk in a tenth position. The spanish companion, Baltus, is better, who in a few laps shows up on the virtual podium. Gonzalez breaks the delay after four rounds and gets in the head. However, no escape for the Spaniard, who, halfway through the race, is taken up by the unleashed Baltus. The struggle for victory thus becomes a two -deal. The balance reigns up to four laps from the end, when Gonzalez still changes step and leaves the Belgian of the Fantic Team definitively behind.
The podium
–
The challenge for third place is also exciting. A position occupied by Moreira until the sixteenth passage, when the Brazilian must surrender to the reassembly Canet. Aron, however, does not take off and is heeling by Moreira himself. Then Dixon and Arenas, all very close. The rain also drops to the last lap, but the top positions do not change. Canet thus closes on the podium. Negative race for Italians: eighth Celestino Vietti, while Tony Arbolino falls.
