Schalke as well as saved

Second division SV Elversberg has maintained the chance of the first promotion to the Bundesliga with a 3-0 win against Eintracht Braunschweig. The Saarlanders defended the relegation place three with the safe success and prevented the early rise of 1. FC Köln. As a result, Elversberg may even be possible for Elversberg on the last matchday with a victory at FC Schalke 04, because the deficit to the HSV is currently only one counter. The Hamburgers can add up on Saturday evening and make it clear with a home win against Ulm.
Braunschweig suffered a damper in the fight for relegation. After six games without defeat, the relegation -threatened Lower Saxony must now worry again. They fall back on the relegation relegation place 16. On the last match day they receive 1. FC Nürnberg.
After 21 minutes, Elversberg already leads 3-0
In front of 9,105 spectators in the sold-out Ursapharm-Arena on the Kaiserlinde, the Elversberger, who were superior from the start, caught a dream start. Hoffenheim loan Fisnik Asllani scored the 1-0 (11th minute) with his 18th goal of the season and prepared the 2-0 by the next Hoffenheim loan Muhammed Damar (18th). Damar even laced a double pack within three minutes with the fast 3: 0 (21st). For him it was the goal of the season eight and nine. In the further course, the hosts freely missed a higher victory.
In the final sprint of the season, Elversberg is the 2nd league team with 15 points from the recent seven games. For the first time since the relegation of the 1st FC Saarbrücken in 1993, a Saarland club could move to the Bundesliga after 32 years. Three years ago, Elversberg had played in the fourth league, then rose twice within twelve months and in the second year in the 2nd division now even had the chance to solve the Bundesliga ticket.
Götze holds SC Paderborn in the promotion race
SC Paderborn can also still hope for the leap to the Bundesliga, but the 1st FC Magdeburg, however, has left the promotion race. The Ostwestfalen won the top game between the two persecutors 2-1 and with 55 points are on the fourth 4th place in the 4th place behind the tied SV Elversberg. This also missed the 1st FC Köln (58) the early climb. On the last match day, Paderborn has to get at least one point at the Karlsruher SC because of the far worse goal difference than Elversberg in the game at FC Schalke 04. In front of 15,000 spectators in the sold -out Paderborn stadium, Calvin Brackelmann (41st minute) and Felix Götze (61.) scored the goals for the hosts. Martijn Kaars (15th/trade) met for the Magdeburgers, who have no chance of the relegation place with 50 points.
A week after the 0: 5 bankruptcy against Prussia Münster, the guests competed with two changes and came into the game well. The best away team in the league had recently not won five times in a row and came to 1-0 early on through a penalty converted by Kaar. The previously three games of undefeated Paderborns struggled and initially did not stand up for the pressure of expectations. Nevertheless, Brackelmann managed to equalize with his third season goal after the SCP had switched a gear and got some good chances. The best awarded Raphael Obermair, who only hit the crossbar (54.). After a corner, Götze, brother of world champion Mario Götze, scored from a short distance to the deserved 2-1 for the hosts.
Fortuna maintains relegation chance-Schalke as well as saved
Fortuna Düsseldorf got the chance of the promotion relegation with a 2-0 against FC Schalke 04. Dawid Kownacki (57th minute) and Myron van Brederode (78th) ensured the fourth victory in the fourth second division home game against the royal blue. On the last matchday, the Fortuna can become the third in the table with a win at 1. FC Magdeburg as in the previous season. For this, however, SV Elversberg on Schalke and SC Paderborn would have to lose to Karlsruher SC.
Despite the renewed defeat of the disappointing Schalke, who had separated from coach Kees van Wonderen a week ago, the remaining in the class is made due to the other results. The team of interim coach Jakob Fimpel goes with a lead of three points and 14 goals on Eintracht Braunschweig on the last matchday.
Fortuna earned success with a little more determination in the second round. Before the break, the Fortuna was hardly noticeable on the climb. The team of coach Daniel Thioune was clearly game -determining, but the last will to go to the goal. A nice volley goal by Van Brederode (13th) was not given after the intervention of the video referee because of a previous offside position by Nicolas Gainvory. Of the unsettled Schalkerns came very little even after the change of coach. The best thing about the game was the atmosphere in the arena, which is full of almost 55,000 spectators. The Fortuna fans had committed their team to the West classic with two choreographies and almost 10,000 fans had made their way from Gelsenkirchen.
