The game between Cádiz and Almería will probably remember everyone involved for a long time. The reason: three red cards, two late goals and an unsightly gesture.

What a crazy game in Spain’s second division: On Friday evening, FC Cádiz received the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla and Almería. In the end, the home team won 2-1. But the victory had come about in a bizarre way.

After half an hour, the guests had to play outnumbered. The Brazilian defender Kaiky Fernandes was off the pitch by referee Daniel Palencia Caballero due to an emergency brake. Nevertheless, Almeria surprisingly took the lead four minutes later through Gonzalo Melero.

At the beginning of the second half the shock: suddenly Almería was only too ninth. This time, the referee against Bruno Langa pulled out the red card – although the defensive player had clearly played the ball against an opponent in his tackle.

With two more men, Cádiz continued to struggle for a long time. The first shot was only made in the 90th minute. But that was the beginning of extremely wild final scenes of a memorable game.

At first Carlos Fernández for Cádiz still equalized in the sixth minute of stoppage time and with the second shot. In the following cheer, the cameras then caught an unsightly gesture from Cádiz professional Javier Oniveros. The 27-year-old showed the fans in the guest curve the middle finger. Apparently the referee hadn’t noticed that. The action remained undisputed.

Shortly afterwards, Cadiz turned the game completely. After a counterattack in the eighth minute of added time, Victor Chust scored 2-1.

After the final whistle, Daniel Palencia Caballero then pulled out the red card a third time-again against an Almería professional. This time Nico Melamed caught it. This had vehemently complained to the referee. Almería trainer Rubi still had to calm his players on the pitch.
