Is there a heartbeat final or does Eintracht Braunschweig clear everything on Saturday? The early relegation in the 2nd Bundesliga in Elversberg succeeds.
Eintracht Braunschweig has not lost six games in a row. Nevertheless, the relegation in the 2nd Bundesliga continues to be on shaky legs. Because: The 2: 2 against Fortuna Düsseldorf on the last match day was a respectable result with a view to the table, but competitor Prussia Münster scored three times.
The 5-0 gala at the 1st FC Magdeburg was a thick exclamation mark in the relegation battle and should give the cellar child on the home stretch. Bad for harmony, because the lead over Münster and Relegation Platz 16 melted on three points. Two games before the end of the season, the relegation is anything but safe.
Especially: competitor Münster has 15 goals better goal difference. In the event of a tie, the BTSV would almost certainly pull the shorter and in the relegation would have to worry about the 3rd league around the league remaining in the relegation (23rd and 27th May).
Eintracht wants to avoid that – and has everything in your own hand. So that there is clarity on Saturday (1 p.m.) on the penultimate matchday after the away game at SV Elversberg on Saturday (1 p.m.), the BTSV is dependent on shooting aid.
The direct relegation is secured if Braunschweig itself wins in Elversberg and Prussia Münster fetches a maximum of one draw the day before in the home game against Hertha BSC (Friday, 6.30 p.m.). If Münster loses against Hertha, Braunschweig in Elversberg is even a tie for early whereabouts in the 2nd Bundesliga.
The decision is postponed in all other scenarios. Then there is the final clarity until May 18. The Eintracht competes against the 1st FC Nürnberg in front of a home backdrop. Münster is a guest at the penultimate SSV Ulm (3:30 p.m.).
Incidentally, the direct descent for Eintracht Braunschweig is not completely off the table for six points ahead of table place 17. To do this, Ulm would have to win against Münster on Saturday against Hamburger SV (8.30 p.m.) and on the last match day, who lose Eintracht both games and also pass Münster past the BTSV.
