A man pulled a young woman in the bushes on Wednesday evening on the campus of TU Eindhoven. The woman put it on a scream, caught the attention of some witnesses and the man left. The police finally managed to keep him. It would be a 42-year-old resident of Haaren.
It happened around half past seven in the evening at the century, at the height of the Castor residential tower, reports Cursorthe digital magazine of the university.
One of the witnesses went after the suspect and not long after, he was arrested by the police in the area on instructions of witnesses. He is fixed for questioning for the time being.
According to Cursor, many people were present when the incident happened. Among students from the Haven residential complex, unrest would have arisen in an app group. A spokesperson for the university says that the victim is supported by the TU/e and victim assistance. “We were shocked and very much condemn this.”
Residents of student apartments are also offered help. Security will keep extra surveillance rounds in the coming period.
