Most recently, it had indicated that the DFB star only wanted to switch to Munich. He is now supposed to agree with the record champions. However, the clubs still have to negotiate.

FC Bayern and Florian Wirtz have considered a future together. According to information from the “Bild”, there is a fundamental agreement between the offensive player and the record champion – the transfer has moved a big difference. However, it is open when the change is actually carried out.

Because: Talks between the clubs have not yet taken place. The 22-year-old is currently under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2027. However, according to the report, it is clear: Wirtz does not want to extend his contract and do not accept any offer of top clubs such as Real Madrid or Manchester City.

According to this, there are two scenarios that FC Bayern and the environment of the player have agreed.

Either: Wirtz is already moving to Munich this summer. That is the preferred plan of both parties. According to media reports, the Bundesliga club is currently preparing an offer of around 100 million euros, which will soon be submitted to Bayer.

Or: If there is no agreement with Leverkusen this summer, Wirtz is ready to stay with his current club for another year – with a permanently agreed change in summer 2026. At that time, Bayer Leverkusen would last the opportunity to achieve a transfer. A year later, the national player’s contract expires.

A spokesman for FC Bayern did not want to comment on the possible transfer on request. According to “Sport Bild”, Bavaria’s sports director Max Eberl met with Hans-Joachim Wirtz, the father of the player, for a conversation in March.

Bavaria could have an argument in the hindquarters for the upcoming negotiations with Leverkusen’s managing director Fernando Carro and sports director Simon Rolfes: In the event of a change in summer 2026, Leverkusen would only have a limited basis for negotiation – the desired transfer fee could then be below the 100 million euros.
