But – as mentioned in connection with Heidenheim’s Kevin Müller – VfL also had to digest the serious injury to Philipp Hofmann. The striker had broken a rib against the FCH, which then injured a pulmonary wing.

With all hope for a sporting surprise: VfL has already promoted the plans for the 2nd Bundesliga and secured the services of coach Dieter Hecking.
