Despite a double pack from Robin Gosens, the AC Florence missed the final of the Conference League. In the 2: 2 (2: 1, 2: 1) after extra time against Real Betis Sevilla, the German international scored in the 34th and 42nd minute to corner kicks for the home team. For the Italian club, this was not enough after the 1: 2 first leg defeat in Spain to achieve the final on May 28th in Breslau, Poland.
The Brazilian international Antony (30th minute) initially gave Real Betis in the lead with a precise free kick from 18 meters before Gosens Köpfchen showed and turned the game before the break. Abde Ezzalzouli (97th) scored the 2-2 in the extension, which gave the guests the final.
Gosens was no longer on the pitch when compensated. Coach Raffaele Palladino changed the 30-year-old ex-player from Union Berlin in the 95th minute, shortly afterwards the guests combined considerably for the decisive goal. Goal scorer Ezzalzouli failed shortly before the end with a low shot on the post.
The final opponent of Real Betis is Chelsea FC. After the clear 4: 1 in the first leg at the Stockholm Club Djurgården IF, the second leg also won the second leg on the domestic Stamford Bridge 1-0 (1: 0) thanks to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (38.).
