Four women throw Smokey Robinson sexual assault and repeated rape

Four women have accused Smokey Robinson of having sexually harassed and repeatedly raped them, while they worked as household help for the Motown icon and his wife-partly back to 2007.

In a new lawsuit in Los Angeles on Tuesday, the women claim that the soul singer and producer found ways to isolate them in his houses in San Fernando Valley and Las Vegas and, despite their protests, forced them to act sexual acts. The lawsuit includes accusations for sexual assault, sexual violence, deprivation of freedom and gender -specific violence against Robinson. Robinson’s wife is also mentioned as a co -defendant – because of the promotion of an hostile work environment, negligence and intentional and negligent mental abuse. (A representative of Robinson did not react immediately to an inquiry to comment.)

Jane DOE 1: At least seven attacks between January 2023 and February 2024

According to the lawsuit, the applicant Jane DOE 1 claims that Robinson sexually abused her at least seven times between January 2023 and February 2024. She explains that Robinson drove his wife to her weekly nail studio appointments, then rushed her home and lured her to his “blue bedroom”, where he closed the door and put a white towel on the bed so as not to “tast the bed linen”. The woman states that Robinson ignored her rejection and “roughly penetrated” her without using a condom.

Jane DOE 2: 23 attacks during their employment

Jane DOE 2 claims that she worked for Robinson and his wife between May 2014 and February 2020. She explains that Robinson forced her to at least 23 non -mutual sexual acts. He forced her to carry out oral sex on him before penetrating her without a condom. She says that he “enjoyed ejaculation on her face, to his satisfaction and to her deep humiliation”.

Jane DOE 3: “Ritualized” rapes over the years

Jane DOE 3 claims that Robinson had “repeatedly sexually harassed, sexually abused and raped between February 2012 and April 2024. She describes a “ritual” in which he showered, put a towel on the bed, pulled it out and forced her to put her face down to penetrate it vaginally from behind. This has repeated at least 20 times. On an occasion when she refused, he offered her $ 500 to satisfy her orally. She rejected this, according to John W. Harris and Herbert Hayden, which was submitted by lawyers.

Jane DOE 4: First rape in 2007, termination 2024

Jane DOE 4 explains that she started working for Robinson and his wife in 2006, and was forced in April 2024 due to abuse. She claims that Robinson raped her for the first time in 2007 when she accompanied him to his house in Las Vegas. He dragged them into the bedroom and raped them there. From 2019 he attacked them again several times. He locked her up in the bedroom and raped her on the bed on a towel.

“He pulled Jane DOE 4 off the clothes, and against her protests he pressed her onto the bed and raped her,” says the 27-page lawsuit that Rolling Stone is.
“The defendant Smokey Robinson never used a condom during the sexual assault and ejaculated in her vagina or on her body – to his satisfaction and to her deep humiliation.”

Fear of job loss and residence status

Three of the Jane Does that stated that they had not reported the alleged abuse because they were afraid of losing their jobs or “negative” effects on their immigration status. They were intimidated by Robinson’s “prominent status and his influential circle of friends”, the lawsuit.

Robinson’s wife should have responsibility

According to the complaint, Frances Robinson “failed to take suitable measures to prevent the different behavior of Smokey Robinson”, although she supposedly “had full knowledge of previous sexual assault and had already closed comparisons with other affected women”.
