“The government is not always the redeeming answer to a problem. Just look at the free school meals that end as a dragon of a compromise, or the ban on social media for minus 16-year-olds without overwhelming scientific evidence,” writes political journalist Isolde van den Eynde. “Does father really have to solve everything always? Can local solidarity not be a much nicer solution than an approach controlled by the government?”
