The Würzburg Baskets are once again presenting the most valuable player (MVP) the basketball Bundesliga.
Building actor Jhivvan Jackson, who had already been honored as the best offensive player, received 36.1 percent of the vote. This was followed by Carsen Edwards (Bayern Munich/15.3) and Ryan Mikesell (MLP Academics Heidelberg/13.9). The captains and assistant coaches of the 17 clubs as well as selected media representatives and former BBL professionals were entitled to vote.
Predecessor from Würzburg also
Jackson demonstrated his class in the Franconian team in front of the last two main round games with the average yield of 18.6 points and 4.6 assists.
Puerto-Ricaner Jackson succeeds the American Otis Livingston II, who was also awarded the best offensive player and MVP in the Würzburg jersey last year. Livingston is now playing in Turkey at Galatasaray Istanbul.
Subsequent defeat against Heidelberg
After the award, there was nothing more countable for the Würzburgers. The Baskets lost 85: 102 against the MLP Academics Heidelberg in their own hall and thus missed the early move into the playoffs. The MVP Jackson came up with a strong 25 points, but the top scorer of the game was Heidelberg’s Damariae Horne with 28 points.
The Niners Chemnitz are now very close to the final round after a heavily won 93:88 at the Hamburg Towers. Chemnitz turned up in time after a weak initial quarter, especially Victor Bailey (23 points) was hard to stop.
