FC Hansa Rostock has made the fight for the relegation promotion square in the 3rd division even more exciting. With a 2: 0 (1: 0) victory in the catch-up game at the already relegated SpVgg Unterhaching, the Baltic Sea towns on the front and have only two points behind the current third, 1. FC Saarbrücken.

Sigurd Haugen brought the FC in front of 4,126 spectators in the third minute with the first chance. Nils Fröling (74th) increased to the final score.

The fast 1-0, which Jan Mejdr had well prepared with strong physical effort, brought security into the Hansa game, but there was no dominance. The hosts tried to make the game balanced, but remained harmless in front of the goal as in the entire course of the season. Hansa had the greatest opportunities through Haugen (14th) and Marco Schuster (41.) to make everything clear before the break.

After the break there was nothing to see from Unterhaching in the attack. Hansa now dominated at will, but failed to do the decisive goals for the poorer goal difference compared to Saarbrücken. Haugen (63.) missed the opposing gate with a fall back, Benno Dietze (68th) failed with a header on the outer post, Christian Kinsombi (78th) at the foot of Haching Torkeeper Kai Eisele. Fröling then hit the short corner with a dry shot and saved his team from a trembling final phase.

Hansa Rostock wanted rating at the green table

The game originally scheduled for March 2, 2025 had been postponed due to security concerns. The municipality of Unterhaching blocked the sports park because the required security concept was considered inadequate. Unterhaching had missed a deadline for revision, a safe edition was not possible. Hansa initially lodged an objection to the transfer and later sued the DFB arbitration court, wanted a rating at the green table. This lawsuit has not yet been negotiated, but both clubs still agreed on the game of the game.
