The sales in the retail trade of the euro zone fell slightly in March.
In the month comparison, revenues fell by 0.1 percent, as the European Statistics Office Eurostat announced on Wednesday in Luxembourg. On average, economists had expected it. However, the development in the previous month was somewhat worse than previously known. Eurostat revised the data down. According to this, sales in February had increased by 0.2 percent after an increase had previously been reported by 0.3 percent.
Compared to the same month last year, retail sales rose by 1.5 percent in March. An increase of 1.6 percent was expected here.
