Hugo Boss is launching Novapoly, an innovative recycled polyester yarn, which was developed together with the two suppliers Jiaren Chemical Recycling and NBC LLC. Hugo Boss holds the trademark rights of Novapoly and an exclusive use for the first year. With the material, the company would like to set new standards and plan to provide the yarn in license for the fashion industry in the future. As part of the Boss The Change initiative, the first Boss Green products with Novapoly will be introduced globally in October 2025.

While the innovative fiber is currently only available for the Boss and Hugo brands, the company is actively working on a license model in order to be able to provide it in the future a wider range of industrial partners. Novapoly is a yarn that is made from textile waste that arises during clothing production and the subsequent consumer phase. It includes a natural additive that imitates the natural behavior of fibers in the environment and makes it degradable. The innovative material supports Hugo Boss’s strategic goal of fighting microplastics – one of the central pillars of the company’s sustainability strategy. Novapoly complements Hugo Boss’s efforts to develop alternatives to polyester and polyamide fibers. This supplements initiatives such as the partnership with Heiq Aeoniq.

The first products with Novapoly will be available online from October 2025, in Boss Stores and from selected wholesale partners worldwide. As part of the spring/summer collection 2026, the yarn is integrated into selected Boss Green Performance Wear products.
