King Willem-Alexander has lost a lot of kilos lately, according to critics with the help of Ozempic, but why was he a bit more obese on TV yesterday? “Bulletproof vest.”
Every year it is the traditional ending of Liberation Day: the 5 May concert on the Amstel, which is invariably attended by King Willem-Alexander (58) and Queen Máxima (53). Also yesterday the two again gave the presence, but it noticed private boss Evert Santegoeds that the king suddenly looked a bit thicker again.
Bullet -free vest
According to critics, Willem-Alexander and his family have lost many kilos with the help of Ozempic, but according to Evert, nothing could be seen.
The magazine maker says in the podcast Strictly private: “He was a little thicker, Willem-Alexander. I don’t know if you noticed. He wore a bulletproof vest, you could see that.”
Pricks
Jordi Versteegden, entertainment reporter of De Telegraaf, is shocked. “Yes, you think so?”
Evert: “Yes, I think that’s for sure, yes. The punctures have helped, but not on 4 May.”
Jordi can imagine how unsafe the king must feel. “How do you stand there as a king? You know: the whole country is looking at you, everything can happen there …”
Stile
Evert thinks that the king is also very vulnerable at such a moment. “You can take about the bit where he stands, so as a Sitting Duck you are of course very vulnerable there. That turned out once when only someone started screaming years ago.”
“So yes, I think it is quite a relief for them that it appears to be still possible in 2025.”
