Football second division Hertha BSC is looking for a new sports director. After, among other things, former HSV manager Jonas Boldt was associated with the Berliners, a new name now appears on the list.
According to “Bild” information, the former sports manager of TSG Hoffenheim Alexander Rosen is also one of the candidates in second division Hertha BSC. The 46-year-old has already been contacted by members of the Presidium, it is said.
Between 2013 and 2024, Rosen had worked at TSG as director of professional football, later as managing director of sports. At the end of July last year, he was released after differences with 1899 patients, and the contract, which was expiring this summer, was only terminated in March.
Although the former Hoffenheim squad planner would be available free of charge, a signature at Hertha BSC does not seem too safe. The “kicker” recently reported that roses are thinking about a commitment to the internationally active investor consortium Alk. Among other things, the English club FC Burnley is managed by the consortium. At ALK, he could act as an external consultant in the future, it said.
Several candidates at Hertha BSC in the game
Alexander Rosen was most recently traded at FC Schalke 04 and at Karlsruher SC. According to the journal, however, he rejected inquiries from the two second division teams.
The name Jonas Boldt, former sports director of Hamburger SV, has been circulating around Hertha BSC in recent weeks. Specific conversations are said to have already been held with the 43-year-old. However, “Bild” recently reported that there were still fundamentally different opinions about possible decision -making powers.
According to the sheet, Rachid Azzouzi, who worked at Greuther Fürth until last October, also contains the list of supposed candidates. The 52-year-old is a young manager at Bayern.
