Change at the US tip of Lowa.
After almost three decades, US managing director Peter Sachs withdraws, the outdoor shoe specialist said on Monday. Sachs, who founded the US subsidiary in 1996, hands over the management to Lance Taylor.
“Peter built LOWA with a lot of commitment in the United States for almost three decades, established a fixture in specialist retailers and achieved historical sales record last year,” explains Alexander Nicolai, CEO of Lowa Sportschuhe GmbH. “Today the brand in North America enjoys an excellent standing – with specialist dealers: inside as well as with end users: Inside. For this, Peter deserves our greatest thank you.”
Taylor now comes into his footsteps, which changes from Salomon to Lowa. According to his profile at the LinkedIn career network, he worked in various positions at the French sporting goods provider. Most recently, he held the role of the Outdoor Business Unit Sales Director and led the US unit outdoor in this function.
At Lowa, he is now responsible for the future development of the brand in the United States. In particular, he should strengthen the brand presence and the closeness to both the specialist trade and the end scand: further expand inside, according to the message.
“Lance brings the experience, the understanding of industry and the passion for the outdoor market, which LOWA will go very much on the way,” said the outgoing CEO. “I am proud of what we have achieved and confident that the brand is in the best hands with him.”
