The 2nd Bundesliga does not come to rest. Now the next club has released its trainer with Greuther Fürth. The club officially announced that from Jan Siewert on Monday.
The trainer chaos in the 2nd Bundesliga does not stop. FC Schalke (Kees van Wonderen) and 1. FC Köln (Gerhard Struber) had only fired their trainers at the weekend. Now the SpVgg Greuther Fürth also draws consequences from the sporting descent.
A day after the 0-1 defeat at Hertha BSC in Berlin, coach Jan Siewert was released.
“We decided on this difficult decision to give the team a new impulse in the final sprint of the season,” said sports director Stephan Fürstner.
2. Bundesliga: Successor in Fürth is “regulated promptly”
“Jan has put a lot of energy in us in the past few months and has a significant help that we have the relegation in our own hands. Unfortunately, we have not been able to take the last step in the past few weeks. We thank Jan for his tireless efforts and wish him all the best for the future.”
The successor on the coaching position is regulated promptly. Siewert had only started his office in October as the successor to the released Alexander Zorniger.
Siewwert said he was further convinced that “the cloverleaf will hold the class and keep your fingers crossed for the team, staff and everyone around it.”
With the bankruptcy in Berlin, Fürth had collected the third defeat in series. The location in the relegation battle is head for the francs. The club has been winning for eight games and is now in 14th place in the table, only three points in front of the relegation place.
It is already the sixth change of coach in league two within two weeks. In Cologne, Friedhelm Funkel was installed as an interim coach of the Effzeh on Monday to save the shaky climb.
