For example, the quantum computer company Ionq and the regional energy and telecommunications company EPB have announced the establishment of a new “Quantum Innovation Center”, which is to be equipped with the latest technology and is intended to develop practical quantum applications.
At the center of the cooperation is the powerful quantum computer forte Enterprise from Ionq, which will be operated in the EPB Quantum Center in the future. In addition, the facility should also accommodate the existing EPB quantum network. This makes Chattanooga the first city in the United States, which has both a commercial quantum computer and a functioning quantum communication network.
