The Berlin Volleys remain the measure of things in German volleyball. In the playoff final, they secured the championship title for the ninth time in a row.

The Berlin Volleys have won their ninth German championship title in series. In the third final game of the playoffs, the team won 3-0 against SVG Lüneburg. The decision was made in the third sentence when Moritz converted the second match ball.

The Berliners had already won the first two final games – 3-0 and 3: 1. In front of 8,553 spectators in the sold-out Max-Schmeling-Halle, the defending champion clearly dominated the first set. The basis for this was long surcharge series by Jake Hanes and Ruben Schott, who caused a quick tour.

In the second set, Lüneburg was improved and was able to take the lead with four points in the meantime. The Berliners managed to equalize after an ASA of Matthew Knigge. In the end, a block by Moritz Reichert also decided this round in favor of the hosts.

Despite an early deficit in the third set, the guests fought back again. At 16:14, Lüneburg led briefly. A 5-0 run by the Berlin Volleys turned the game again-after that the team didn’t let anything burn.
